About me
Hello world! My name is Logan Murray and I’m a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, currently “stationed” in beautiful Kingston, Ontario where I have set up shop as an independent (read: starving) software developer, trying to follow my dream.
That dream involves being president of The Little Software Company (which I am) and making a living doing it (which I’m not… yet). However I’m having a lot of fun doing what I love and as complicated as software development is, it’s naturally going to take some time before a one-man company can become profitable.
That said, I’m currently working on the Windows version of (and my take on) a text-clipping manager called OrangeNote. This is my first delving into WPF, and despite a few annoyances and absurdities, I’m quite impressed with it overall. As such, OrangeNote sports a fantastic “2.0” style interface, inspired by some fancy web sites I’ve come across over recent months. You might even call it the emergence of “desktop 2.0”, but please don’t anyone ever accredit me with coming up with that term. 😉
On the personal side of things, I’m single but too busy with work (not to mention broke) to be actively looking for love, and sort of absent-mindedly hoping it will somehow just fall into my lap. However I’m also the proud uncle of two lovely and brilliant boys (Brennick and Trenton) through my sister Ashleigh and her husband Dan–whom she met through yours truly–and they help to entertain me when I can no longer deal with work.
So welcome to my little corner of the web and please don’t be too modest to comment; I always love to hear from others out there, especially when it involves my work. I also invite you to take a spin at OrangeNote and tell me what you think of it. I’m always looking for new ideas and suggestions for improvement and don’t mind the odd critique. If you’re interested in software development and are looking for someone to work with, write me up!
See you in the tubes!

Hi there, I saw that you posted a comment on Marc Grabanski’s site about his jQuery/Google maps script asking about highlighting.
Well, I made a few changes to his script and added list highlighting and some other stuff. You can see it in action here: http://www.erikwhite.net/gmapjquery.html
Just thought you might be interested!
